Aaron Rodgers took aim at Dr. Anthony Fauci, criticizing him for repeatedly invoking the Fifth Amendment during his Senate hearing.
Rodgers referenced Fauci’s testimony while joking about pleading the Fifth himself, saying, “I’m going to plead the fifth… like that absolute coward, Tony Fauci… Are you kidding me? You got a pardon and you pleaded over 100 times. What are you scared of, Tony?”

Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers didn’t hold back while discussing Dr. Anthony Fauci, who repeatedly invoked the Fifth Amendment over questions about COVID-19 and the government’s pandemic response in a Senate committee hearing on Wednesday.
During a Monday appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Rodgers — who faced scrutiny for not getting the COVID-19 vaccine in 2021 — joking said he would “plead the fifth” when asked about his final NFL season.
“I’m going to plead the fifth… like that absolute coward, Tony Fauci,” Rodgers said. “Are you kidding me? You got a pardon and you pleaded [the fifth] over 100 times. What are you scared of Tony?
“I thought you were the science, and he gets up there and can’t answer a question.”
Aaron Rodgers also took aim at ESPN, questioning the network’s coverage of an offseason controversy involving an NFL awards voter.
Rodgers said, “Then there is another scandal this offseason involving a voter for MVP, for coach of the year — how much time did your network spend? Where’s your camera?”
At one point, Rodgers turned to point to the camera and directed his comments to ESPN, the network he was currently on, after chants of MVP from the crowd.
