President Donald Trump on Wednesday rejected claims that he or the White House wants to affix his name to Ford’s Theatre in Washington, D.C., where President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated, calling the allegation a “ridiculous lie” and “FAKE NEWS.” Trump questioned why anyone would want to place a name on what he described as “such a tragic place.”
In the post, Trump also accused Democrats of spreading what he called the “Ford’s Theatre Hoax” as part of what he characterized as an ongoing effort to “discredit and demean” him and blasted them for making up “lie after lie.”
