According to TMZ’s Harvey Levin, there was activity in the bitcoin account that was set up to accept funds for the return of Nancy Guthrie.

Levin said, “I can only tell you that we have seen activity in the account.”

CNN reported:

A Bitcoin account attached to the purported ransom letters sent to various news outlets has seen activity, TMZ founder Harvey Levin said Tuesday.

“I can only tell you that we have seen activity in the account,” Levin told CNN’s Erin Burnett without elaborating.

TMZ is one of three outlets that received alleged ransom notes in connection with the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.

TMZ said this was the first time they had seen activity in the bitcoin account.

TMZ reported:

We’ve seen activity for the first time in the Bitcoin account listed in the first ransom note which was sent to us here at TMZ, and also to 2 TV stations in Tucson. For various reasons, we are not going to reveal the amount, but the activity happened in the last 25 minutes.
