She just endorsed Democrat Alaska gubernatorial candidate Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins.
Sen. Lisa Murkowski has endorsed Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins.
“I am announcing my endorsement of Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins,” Murkowski told Rebecca Palsha on Tuesday. “JKT is young Alaskan with a view and a perspective that I think Alaska needs right now.”
Murkowski says the state needs a governor who’s willing to work with all lawmakers in Juneau and someone who’s interested in building things, rather than halting action.
“We need a governor who’s going to work with the legislature,” she said. “That has got to happen for the delegation to be successful back in Washington DC.”
Trump recently ripped Murkowski, calling her “The Republicans’ Worst Senator, by far.”
President Donald Trump has escalated his criticism of Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski as a high-stakes Alaska Senate race intensifies, branding the longtime senator one of the worst members of the chamber amid a widening dispute over the state’s election system.
In a Truth Social attack on Murkowski, Trump called ranked-choice voting a “TOTAL DEMOCRAT SCAM meant to confuse the Voter” and accused Murkowski of opposing the Justice Department’s lawsuit because she wanted Democrats to win.
“The Republicans’ Worst Senator, by far, Lisa Murkowski, of the Great State of Alaska,” Trump wrote, before describing her as a “DISGRACE to Alaska and our Country.”
