President Donald Trump is touting his powerful endorsement.
His endorsement is stronger than ever.
In a post accompanied by graphics detailing his endorsement history, Trump highlighted his performance across Republican primary cycles dating back to 2018. The materials shows that Trump-backed candidates have won 760 of 783 contests, representing an overall success rate of approximately 97% across five election cycles.
“My Endorsements are stronger than ever,” Trump wrote, while also emphasizing that his endorsements have helped candidates who previously had little opportunity to win. He described the opportunity to support Republican candidates as an honor that he takes seriously.
According to the 2026 graphic accompanying Trump’s post, 254 of 262 endorsed candidates have won, giving Trump a reported 97% success rate for the cycle so far.
The graphic breaks those results down by office:
- U.S. Senate: 23 of 23 endorsed candidates won — 100%
- U.S. House: 215 of 219 endorsed candidates won — 98%
- Governor: 16 of 20 endorsed candidates won — 80%
A second graphic places the 2026 results alongside Trump’s previous endorsement records.
It reports:
2018: 36 endorsements — 35 won, 1 lost — 97% success rate
2020: 120 endorsements — 117 won, 3 lost — 98% success rate
2022: 187 endorsements — 179 won, 8 lost — 96% success rate
2024: 178 endorsements — 175 won, 3 lost — 98% success rate
2026: 262 endorsements — 254 won, 8 lost — 97% success rate
Overall, 2018–2026: 783 endorsements — 760 won, 23 lost — 97% success rate.
Trump pointed specifically to the candidates who lost, saying those endorsements were sometimes motivated by loyalty rather than the likelihood of victory.
“The few that lost were done out of loyalty,” Trump wrote. He added that some of those candidates faced situations in which victory was “almost impossible,” but said he nevertheless felt obligated to support them because he considered them good people.
My Endorsements are stronger than ever — Not to mention the fact that good people are getting elected that never had the chance! Here is an accurate list of the last number of seasons. There has never been anything close! It is an Honor that I take very seriously. The few that lost were done out of loyalty. It was almost impossible for them to win but, I felt obligated to go with them because they were, in my opinion, good people! President DONALD J. TRUMP
