Joe Biden is trending in the wrong direction.
His approval is down to 36% in a new Reuters/Ipsos poll. The last time it was this low was July of 2022.
President Joe Biden’s approval rating in May fell to its lowest level in almost two years, Reuters/Ipsos poll found Tuesday, deepening reelection concerns.
Presidents historically need an approval rating around 50 percent to win reelection.
Only 36% approve of Biden, down two points since April. It matches his lowest-ever approval rating in July 2022.
Biden’s sluggish economy for main street was the top issue (23 percent) for Americans, while 21 percent of respondents said political extremism was the top issue, followed by the open border (13 percent).
In even worse news for Biden, a separate poll found “Never Biden” voters are now more common than “Never Trumpers.”
The Washington Examiner reported:
In a revealing twist for the 2024 presidential election, polls show “Never Biden” voters are more common than “Never Trumpers.”
In a recent poll 52% of respondents said they would never vote for President Joe Biden, while 46% said the same for former President Donald Trump. This flips the narrative from the 2020 election, which saw the opposite be true. It’s another sliver of evidence that Trump has an edge over Biden in November.
Three of four such polls since November have more “Never Biden” voters than “Never Trump” voters. Voters have had a more favorable view of Trump’s presidency since Biden took office, and that appears to be manifesting in the polls.
The “Never Trump” movement originally began in 2015, as Trump built momentum toward his eventual 2016 Republican presidential nomination, with many conservatives vowing to never support him.
